Migrating from Sellix to Vendlio: A Practical Guide
Sellix has been gone since 2024, and its would-be successors haven't fared much better. Here's what actually transfers when you move to Vendlio, and what to double check afterward.
Sellix went offline in early 2024 when its domain was seized, and the platform never came back. That should have been the end of the story, but it wasn't. Sellers scattered to Billgang and to Sellpass (which later rebranded to Antistock), and in August 2026 both of those got seized too. If you're reading this, there's a decent chance you've now been displaced more than once, or you're still sitting on a Sellix data export from 2024 that you never got around to using.
Either way, the question is the same: how do you get a working store back online without losing your product catalog, your customer history, or another few months to a platform that might not survive the year.
What actually transfers when you migrate
Vendlio has a built-in importer that pulls directly from a platform's API using your existing API key, no manual re-entry required. Right now it supports one-click import from:
- Shoppy
- SellAuth
- Autobuy
- Selly
- Sell.app
For each of these, the importer pulls in your products, categories, order history, customer feedback, stock levels, and coupons in one pass. You keep your product descriptions, your pricing, your review history, and any active discount codes.
Sellpass (Antistock) and Billgang are also listed as import sources, but since both platforms were seized and their APIs are offline, the one-click import can't reach them anymore. If you exported your data before either shutdown, you can still bring it in through CSV import instead, and support can help you map the file if the format is unusual.
What about Sellix specifically
Sellix's API disappeared with the domain back in 2024, so there's no live connection to pull from anymore. If you kept a data export from before the shutdown (a products CSV, an order history file, anything Sellix let you download at the time), that's what you bring over. Vendlio supports CSV import for Sellix data, and for anything the CSV doesn't map cleanly, the support team will help you rebuild the parts that got lost. Most sellers who come to us this way are back to a working, sellable store the same day they start.
If you don't have an export at all, you're not alone, a lot of sellers lost everything overnight when the domain went dark. In that case you're really doing a fresh setup rather than a migration, but the good news is that setting up a new digital product store from scratch takes minutes, not days.
What to double check after migrating
Automated imports are good, but they're not magic. After any migration, before you send customers to the new store, go through this list:
- Stock counts. Serial key inventory sometimes needs a manual recount, especially if you had active orders mid-import.
- Pricing and currency. Confirm your prices imported in the currency you meant, not converted or defaulted.
- Coupons. Check that discount codes carried over with the correct type (percentage vs fixed amount) and that expired codes didn't come back active.
- Payment methods. Your old store's payment setup does not transfer, since API keys and merchant accounts are platform-specific. You'll need to reconnect Stripe, PayPal, or whichever processors you use.
- Product descriptions and images. Skim through a handful of listings for formatting issues, especially if your old platform used a different editor.
- Domain and DNS. If you're pointing a custom domain at your new store, get the DNS changes in early since propagation can take a few hours.
How pricing compares
Sellix charged transaction fees on some of its plans. Vendlio charges 0% transaction fees on every plan, including the free tier. The paid tier, Premium, is €14.99 a month and includes all 16 supported payment methods, all 8 store templates, custom domains, the affiliate program, and API access. There's no revenue cap and no per-sale cut on top of the monthly price.
For a seller doing meaningful volume, the real cost difference isn't the sticker price, it's what a platform disappearing overnight costs you: lost orders, lost customer trust, and the time spent rebuilding somewhere else. That's the part worth weighing most heavily when you're choosing where to land this time.
Getting started
If you have API access to Shoppy, SellAuth, Autobuy, Selly, or Sell.app, the import takes a few minutes: create your Vendlio store, drop in your API key on the import page, and let it run. If you're bringing over an old Sellix, Billgang, or Antistock export, use the CSV import option and reach out to support if anything doesn't map the way you expect. Either path gets your catalog live again without starting from a blank page.
